Marcel has a degree in business informatics and has spent his entire professional life in retail and information technology, working for the largest retailer in Switzerland. He has tried various management positions at the interface between marketing, purchasing, sales, production, logistics and IT. He has been intensively involved with EDI for more than 30 years and was responsible for the use and dissemination of EDI with suppliers, customers and logistics partners, and the digitalisation of the supply chain.
Marcel joined ecosio as an EDI strategist, and from now on he supports existing and future customers and advises them on the optimal use of EDI and e-invoicing as an enabler for modern business and supply chain processes.
Marcel loves sport and travelling. He is proud of his collection of citrus plants and, as a member of the Emergency Response Unit of the Red Cross, regularly takes part in disaster relief missions around the world. Together with his wife and a Kenyan friend, Marcel is building and running a school in Kenya.
