Initial situation
Before working with ecosio, Stumpp & Schüle’s electronic data exchange (EDI) solution was provided by its parent company. In the course of a carve-out, Stumpp & Schüle was required to implement an independent EDI solution, but didn’t have the necessary expertise or personnel to handle this internally.
Requirements for the new EDI solution
- Complete outsourcing of EDI operations: Setup and ongoing operation of the new EDI infrastructure needed to be handled externally.
- Flexibility: The new system had to be capable of being configured to suit individual customer requirements.
- Reliability and expertise.: Stumpp & Schüle was keen to ensure smooth operation by selecting experienced EDI specialists.
Why ecosio was chosen
Stumpp & Schüle’s decision to opt for ecosio was largely due to two key factors:
- Comprehensive EDI outsourcing. ecosio took full responsibility for all EDI operations, allowing Stumpp & Schüle to focus entirely on its core business without needing to build internal EDI expertise or resources.
- Responsive and competent support. The ecosio team consistently responded quickly and knowledgeably to questions and customisation requests, providing reliable assistance whenever needed.
Project progress
The implementation of the EDI solution went smoothly. All EDI tasks and issues were tackled proactively by ecosio’s EDI experts, eliminating the need for any internal EDI resources.
"ecosio provided us with fast, expert and solution-orientated support at all times"
Result: sustainable process optimisation
By implementing ecosio’s EDI as a Service solution, Stumpp & Schüle was able to set up an independent and flexible infrastructure for electronic data exchange that enables both independence from the parent company and simple adaptation to individual customer requirements. This led to a significant reduction in the strain on internal resources, as no specialised internal staff had to be provided for EDI operations. At the same time, stable, efficient data exchange with business partners was ensured, optimising and future-proofing business processes.
