Initial situation
To meet growing regulatory requirements and the increasing importance of e-invoicing, the Brückner Group partnered with ecosio and Vertex to implement a standardised, future-proof, and global solution across the organisation.
The solution needed to accommodate various invoice receipt channels, including email, transmission networks, EDI connections, and state invoice portals, as well as state validation servers in certain countries. At the same time, regulatory reporting obligations for individual invoice content had to be consistently met from a centralised database.
Sarah Abraham, Project Manager for Tax Technology Projects at the Brückner Group, discusses the challenges and benefits of the joint solution from ecosio and Vertex, delivered through Vertex e-Invoicing. “We wanted to ensure that we not only comply with e-invoicing regulations but also create more efficient processes for the future,” explains Sarah Abraham. Before working with ecosio and Vertex, the Brückner Group’s e-invoicing processes were highly fragmented. When a regional subsidiary requested a legally compliant e-invoicing solution for 2024, it became clear that a group-wide standardisation was necessary.
