What does a typical ecosio day look like for you?

My day can be very dynamic. Usually, my day at the office starts between 8 and 9 a.m. at the latest with the planning of the day and the setting of priorities. Then we have our “daily-stand-up-meeting” with the whole sales team and coordinate the most important tasks together. My range of tasks is now already very broad: from new customer acquisition, existing customer care, trade fair visits and offer negotiations to legal negotiations of contracts and general terms and conditions, everything is included. I am also the first contact person to the outside world. The sales telephone number and the chat on our website lead to me.

Depending on how all these tasks develop, my day also develops. There are days when an enquiry comes in via telephone or chat, which then needs my attention throughout the day. All in all, it is not always possible to plan what is going to happen *laughs*. But that’s exactly what makes my job varied and exciting. 😊

As for the lunch break, I always try to do something with my colleagues. Almost always there are people who take care of organising the meal, which I find particularly great. But even if there is no planned lunch together, you always find colleagues in the lunchroom and don’t have to eat alone. In general, I like the positive working atmosphere we have here. Many things in daily cooperation become more pleasant when you have a great team.

You work full-time at ecosio and study business law at WU - how do you do that?

I have come to terms with the fact that it will probably not be the minimum study period *laughs*. But that was the plan. When I started at ecosio, I wanted a job that would take me straight to the next level – I didn’t want to spend five years studying for a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a row and only then enter professional life. And the usual side jobs were simply not enough for me.

At ecosio it works out great because we have very flexible working hours. And the team is simply super and understanding. I can take time off for exams and, if necessary, come in later or leave earlier, which was especially important at the beginning. I get the fullest support. Sure, sometimes I often have long days – but with a good time management it works!

How was your first month at ecosio compared to last month?

The first month was mainly one thing: learning EDI! Such a technical subject as EDI was a completely new area for me. It was quite a challenge, I simply had little experience in this industry. Looking back, however, I can say that I got used to it quite quickly. The more you learn about EDI, the more exciting it becomes. 😊

A lot has happened in the meantime. We have more than doubled in size since I started two and a half years ago, and we will continue to grow strongly in the coming years. It is super exciting to be part of it and to grow with the company.

I have learned so much and it is impressive to see how much I have developed myself. I am taking on more and more responsibility and work very independently. In the meantime I am also allowed to pass on my knowledge and train new employees. I enjoy this and I do it with great pleasure. I find it impressive that although we are already such a big team, all new colleagues share the same values and that all new employees are carefully selected to fit in perfectly with our values and our team. We have managed to maintain a family environment and we all get along very well. I hope that this will always remain so, regardless of how many employees we will be.

What is your next step/goal?

Further development is my top priority. I would like to take on more responsibility and prove myself in a management position. At the same time, I also want to complete my studies soon.
